Women. We are mothers, spouses, professionals, sisters, friends, daughters. Oftentimes, we’re presidents of our own homes and CEOs of the lives of the ones we love. With all that, is it any wonder that heart disease is the number one killer of women? Think of all the things on your to-do list for this week. But let me ask you. What about you?
Are you taking care of yourself? Are you vibrant, energetic, and the healthiest person you can be? In spite of all the many demands on you each week, are you making sure that you are also taking care of you- the one taking care of so many others?
The statistics say no.
Ladies, this is our greatest health threat. Even though women make 80% of the health care decisions in their families, they often neglect themselves. Sure we’ve all heard a lot about how we need selfcare in our lives, and believe me, we do. But did you know that by putting your heart health first, you are actually empowering yourself to do all the things we love about self care and making sure we are not one of those troubling statistics. That’s why heartcare is the new self care.
Well, even if you’re not, you’re here now at Adesso (which means “now,” in Italian). Just by being here, you’ve already done something critical for yourself.
I want you to meet my friend Celebrity Entrepreneur and Best Selling Author Naomi Whittel. She’s amazing, living life to the fullest by launching and scaling incredible wellness companies. She’s smart and beautiful and scientific about her approach to her company’s products and to her own health and well being. She researches everything, even including herself in the experiment to figure out how to lead the healthiest life possible.
As Naomi does, she wanted to research her own heart health. So, let Naomi be your trusted guide, because she too wanted to investigate her greatest health risk. And as you can see in this video below, she is already underway and making changes to stop the potential heart disease that had already started to present.
I love how Naomi’s research is. She delves in deep. She wants to learn. She does the research on herself. So we decided to have her come into my office, do all the testing that people in the Adesso Clinical Program can do, and begin her heartcare journey.
“I had the privilege of being introduced to Dr. Suzanne and within literally three minutes, I was completely obsessed because I had never heard any person speak about our heart and our heart health in the way that she did.” said Naomi. “I am an innovator. I travel all over the world to really find the best answers and where we can optimize our biology in the very best way. I am so honored to be on this journey with Adesso.”
I always say our hearts are the metronome of our lives. It carries our highs, our lows, experiences it all with us, one beat at a time. We owe it to ourselves to take care of our constant companion and prevent cardiovascular disease. Heartcare is our ultimate health goal. And how we get there is through this journey, I want you to really understand your heart health.
We’re not talking about heart disease, we’re talking about heart health. How do you stay vital? How do you live the life you want to lead? It’s not about sickness, it is about wellness.
What we need to do is make a decision, a commitment to ourselves and let’s see the improvement of what happens in the next three to four months. You’ll check back here each week to learn more, be challenged, and do new healthy things that will build vitality in your life.
